Successful 25th Anniversary Exhibition
News

Thank you to all our supporters who attended our 25th Anniversary Exhibition – it was wonderful to meet so many of you. We had over 500 people attend over the 3 days.

The exhibition was opened on Thursday night by Councillor Jess Miller of City of Sydney Council, Angela Catterns was our MC for the night and  we had speeches from Annie Greenberg our founder’s daughter, Sarah Williams from World Vision and Jayne Goodes our current chair.

We exhibited over 100 wraps which were received in the warehouse this year from all over Australia.  There were also some information boards and a globe to show where the wraps have gone to over the 25 years. With so many wonderful wraps arriving each week it was difficult to select so few. Visitors were encouraged to take photos and to ask questions from the Volunteers who manned the reception desk and were on hand to demonstrate how we put wraps together.

We had a lot of positive feedback from those who attended, they went away with some great ideas for wraps and lots of information about what we are all contributing to.

Without our many Knitting Groups, Individual Knitters, and the wonderful people who collect the squares to sew together we would not have achieved so much! We look forward to celebrating our next milestone!
